For the math section, Kaplan’s guide + The Champions’ Guide together is a proven combination for success (see A Reddit GED Success Story)!
I’ve been told by students that Kaplan is best for mastering the basics, while The Champions’ Guide is best for mastering the “higher-level” stuff.
Kaplan’s book is designed to give you an overview of all of the basics you need to know, and to include practice questions.
It’s thus clear that both books have the same goal, namely to get you ready to pass the test. It’s just that both use different strategies to help you achieve this goal!
I repeat: there is no other choice!

Great article. There is no one-size-fits-all test prep material or study program for the GED test, just as no two learners are exactly alike. So the best GED study materials can be used in combination for one to achieve the best GED score possible.
